Switchboard Upgrade Maroubra: what we typically find
A typical Maroubra board has been partly modernised: a safety switch or two and some breakers sitting alongside old fuse holders. Replacing the lot with a properly designed board gives every circuit safety switch protection and room for future additions like solar, a battery or an EV charger.
For post-war homes, we also test the wiring connected to the board. Original cables from the 1940s to 60s can still be sound, but some will need replacing.
How the job works in Maroubra
What does the upgrade look like on the day? We arrive, confirm the scope, turn off the power and remove the old board. The new enclosure goes in, each circuit is reconnected, tested and labelled, and the power comes back on.
